White Card Requirements in Victoria
Mandatory Prerequisites
Before you can enroll in and complete a White Card (CPCWHS1001) course in Victoria, there are several strict requirements you must meet. These are mandated by both the federal government (via ASQA) and the state regulator (WorkSafe Victoria).
Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN)
The construction industry relies heavily on clear communication for safety. Therefore, you must possess a basic understanding of spoken and written English. During the course, you will be required to read safety signs, understand verbal instructions, and write short incident reports. If you require a translator, you must inform the RTO well in advance.
USI and Identification
You cannot be issued a Statement of Attainment without a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI). Additionally, you must present a minimum of 100 points of valid, original identification on the day of your training. Failure to meet these administrative requirements will prevent you from participating in the class.
