About the HLTAID011 First Aid Course

HLTAID011 Provide First Aid is a nationally recognised First Aid course designed for people who may need to provide an emergency response in workplaces, community settings or everyday situations.
ORBIT delivers First Aid training across available Melbourne and Victorian locations, combining online learning with practical face-to-face assessment. HLTAID011 includes HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and HLTAID010 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support.
The following additional units will also be awarded:
- HLTAID010 - Provide basic emergency life support
- HLTAID009 - Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
All learning and theory assessment is completed online prior to attending a short face to face assessment session.

HLTAID011 Assessment Requirements
- check_circleValid photo identification (driver's licence, passport, or student ID).
- check_circleUnique Student Identifier (USI).
- check_circleCompletion of online pre-course study prior to practical attendance.
- warningPhysical capability to perform uninterrupted CPR on an adult manikin on the floor for at least 2 minutes.
- check_circleBasic English language, literacy, and numeracy (LLND) skills.
Certification & Delivery
Practical assessment including CPR on adult and infant manikins, defibrillation (AED), bandaging, fracture and bleeding management, and anaphylaxis auto-injector (EpiPen) demonstration.
Written knowledge assessment covering emergency principles, signs and symptoms, and duty of care.
